LCC Women’s Lit Read-In 2026

I have a busy week ahead starting with a Women’s Lit Read-In at Lansing Community College (LLC) on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026. The read-in will be held in the Gannon Building at the LCC Downtown Campus located at 600 N Grand Avenue, Lansing MI 48933. My approximate time slot will be at 3 p.m.

Last year there was a virtual option. I have not heard if there will be a virtual option this year. (I just found out there IS a virtual option to attend. Keep in mind, my time is 3 pm but that may change if the readers change order, etc.)

I’m looking forward to sharing one of my first creative nonfiction pieces I wrote for the Washington Square Review in 2012. It was one of the first times I felt comfortable enough to share my life in a creative way using my words. It sparked an interest in me to continue writing about my own personal experiences growing up and how it shaped who I am today.

The read-in is a wonderful event held every year and it coincides with Women’s History Month in March.

I will have a limited number of books on hand for sale/signing. I hope you can attend and support the readers and writers.
